How'd you end up at Raptor?
I was already in roofing and bartending on the side, but I was searching for something that felt more meaningful. When I saw the way Raptor Roofing ran things; the culture, the standards, how they treated people, I got excited. I knew that was where I wanted to be.
So a homeowner books an appointment and you pull up. What happens next?
First thing, I’m greeting you with a real smile. I'm not there to sell you something. I'm there to figure out what's actually going on and what makes sense for you. I do a full detailed inspection with photos of everything, then we sit down together and I walk you through all of it. No surprises, no pressure. Once you know what you're working with, we put together a plan that's tailored to your needs. It's your home and your decision, I'm just there to make sure you've got all the information.
What do you want a homeowner to say about you after the job's done?
Honestly? I want them to say, "That was a great experience. He listened to what I needed and didn't try to push something on me. I'd love to work with Colby and Raptor again." That's the goal every single time.
What's the part of this job that really gets you fired up?
When I can genuinely help someone and leave them better than I found them. When there's real laughter and smiles in the conversation, that gives me a lot of joy. That's when I know I'm doing this right.
On your day off you're ___?
With my son, or playing guitar. That's the good stuff.
If you weren't in roofing?
I'd be a chef or doing something in film production. I've always had a creative side.
Walk-up song?
"Superstar." No question.
